Job Position:Â Flower Field Team Member
Responsibilities:Â
As a Flower Field Team Member, you'll spend most of your time in the Flower Field. From planting flower babies, to weeding flower beds, harvesting flowers, washing flower buckets, setting up for on-farm events, answering customer questions and other various other jobs around the farm. No two days will look the same here at the farm.
Working Conditions
Mother Nature and the weather also affect the responsibilities. You must be comfortable working outside in both sunshine/heat as well as cool/rainy conditions as there is little shelter from the elements in the field.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a greenhouse or farm is strongly preferred, but not required. Work experience in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking, such as a restaurant or team-oriented job is helpful.
- A hard-working, energetic person who works quickly and efficiently both individually and in a group setting.
- Able to work 8+ hours on your feet in all weather conditions.
- High attention to detail and quality, while being open to direct performance feedback.
- Physically fit and able to perform demanding and repetitive farm tasks (bending, squatting, lifting, kneeling, standing daily). You must be able to lift items up to 50 lbs. We do not sit to plant, harvest, or for bed cultivation.
- Individuals will have the ability to work without their smartphones. You must be punctual and reliable. Call-offs and tardiness are not tolerated.
The Finer Details:Â
- Term: July 1st to September 30thÂ
- 10 to 20 hours a week
- Thursday to Sunday schedule (ability to work weekends, both Saturday + Sunday, is a must)
- Compensation - $18 to $20/hour
