Albion Green Pod Nigella Seeds

While the flowers are beautiful, we grow Nigella here at the farm for its seed pods. These whimsical, balloon-shaped pods are light and airy and oh-so fun to design with. This variety provides light green seed pods. Also known as Love-in-a-Mist.

Sow: Direct sow in early spring (recommended). Start indoors 4 to 6 weeks before your last frost. Cover seeds lightly as light is required for germination.

Days to Maturity - Flowers: 65 - 70 days

Days to Maturity - Pods: 80 - 85 days

These seeds are originally from Johnny's Seeds.  They were not produced here at the farm.  These are the same seeds we plant to produce our 2-acre flower field.  As I always order extra, I have repackaged the seeds into smaller quantities to allow you the opportunity to grow them, too (as not everyone needs 1000 seeds!).
