Learn to Press Flowers (Sept 13)

There’s something special about finding a way to keep a little piece of the season long after the flowers in the field have faded.

Join Emily in the flower field on Sunday, September 13th at 1 pm to learn the art of pressing flowers. We’ll start with the basics — what makes a flower a good candidate for pressing, how a flower press works, and a few tips for getting beautiful results. Then, we’ll head into the field together to choose flowers from the season to press and preserve.

You’ll leave with your own flower press to take home, ready to keep filling with flowers as the seasons change — turning little pieces of the garden into something you can enjoy for years to come.

Your Ticket Includes:

• Hand-made flower press to take home with you
• Instruction led by Emily and the Mapleton Acres Team
• Knowledge on what flowers press the best and how to press flowers for longevity
• A mix of flowers from the field, which you'll press to take home during the workshop
• Tips on how to design and display your pressed flowers

Your ticket includes admission to the flower field, allowing you to arrive before your workshop to enjoy the flower field in full bloom.  If you wish to cut your own flowers, please purchase that option separately by clicking here.

The Finer Details:

• The workshop will take place under the umbrellas of the Flower Field.  While there will be a little bit of shade, the space will still be exposed to elements such as sun, rain, and wind.
• Mapleton Acres is a working farm and the field is uneven and bumpy; please dress appropriately.
• Washroom facilities available on-site
• No dogs/pets allowed; service dogs welcome
  
• Tickets are non-refundable (unless Mother Nature forces us to cancel, see below), but you can transfer your ticket to a friend. Just notify us via email at hello@mapletonacres.com.

When Mother Nature has other plans ... the team here at Mapleton Acres will contact you if we must cancel your workshop due to extreme weather.  Each ticket holder will then have the option to reschedule to a different workshop or receive a gift card for the value of the ticket.
