Celosia - Shimmer Seeds

If you’ve ever made a holiday wreath with us, you already know we love using dried celosia in our designs. Fresh or dried, celosia adds colour and texture in a way few other flowers do. If you’re looking to add something a little unexpected to your bouquets, this one’s a perfect fit.

• Hardiness zone: Grown as an annual in Zones 3–9

• Light: Full sun

• How to start: Start indoors

• Start indoors: 4–6 weeks before last frost

• Planting: Surface sow — light helps these seeds get going, so don’t cover

• Spacing: 23–30 cm (9–12 in)

• Estimated Days to Maturity (from transplant): 90–110 days

• Estimated vase life: 7–10 days

These seeds are originally from Johnny's Seeds.  They were not produced here at the farm.  These are the same seeds we plant to produce our 2-acre flower field.  As I always order extra, I have repackaged the seeds into smaller quantities to allow you the opportunity to grow them, too (as not everyone needs 1000 seeds!).
